Dynamic Training Media was established in 1995 to assist producers with U.S. and international distribution of their educational and training materials. David T. Moore is the owner and his background includes thirty three years experience in the publishing industry, with twenty four years focused in the training and academic markets. He was CFO for McGraw-Hill Training Systems for nine years and then VP of Sales for CRM Films six years.
One of his key accomplishments was to increase international revenues for one producer by over 400% in less than two years. This increased their international receipts, primarily royalty income that all carried to the bottom line, to better than 12% of US revenues. This was accomplished by establishing a worldwide distributor network, which he personally interviewed and helped to implement sales and marketing plans specific to their territories.
Dynamic Training Media has contacts with over eighty distributors covering 65 countries. They look to Dynamic Training Media to provide them with timely and quality training materials for their territories.
An overview of how international distribution works is a distributor is given access to a master and the distributor markets the titles in their region, paying the producer a royalty on a quarterly basis. The distributor pays all their costs (duplication, fulfillment and marketing). Dynamic Training Media receives a commission on the royalty paid to the producer. In many markets the video will have to be sub-titled or dubbed into the local language. The costs for this are either paid for by the distributor or recouped (in part or in total from royalties) or co-financed by the producer and distributor.
